About Josh

I am a nature and landscape photographer from Orange County, California. My fascination with photography started at a young age, as I was fortunate enough to spend the majority of my youth traveling with my parents. While visiting locations such as Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park, Alaska, I would see professional photographers with their massive lenses trying to photograph the Grizzly bears or trying to capture a moose or wolf in Denali National park. This instilled in me not only a curiosity to figure out the mechanics of cameras, but a developing reverence for nature and animals, which inspires my style as a landscape photographer and animal lover. My earliest memories have left with me a need to share the overwhelming beauty of the earth with people all around the world, inspiring them to travel themselves, or at the very least bask in beauty they may never see in person. It is my hope that I can provide a view into the pristine, untouched areas of our world to those who follow along with me on my adventures.

The last few years of my life have been full of changes and while it’s been rough, photography has been the best constant in my life; reminding me to never settle and to travel as much as possible. The past year has provided me with a new passion: videography. I have a few videos produced already, which are on my YouTube channel, and I plan to document all of my upcoming trips using my drone and video equipment. It’s been truly inspiring to see the places I love from a whole new angle (quite literally) and it has taken my still photography to a new level as well. I’ll admit, I already crashed my drone into a tree once but worse things have happened; like dropping my lens face-first into the rocky terrain of Death Valley or melting a hole in my bag while photographing lava in Hawaii.

I look forward to sharing all of my future adventures with everyone.
